Why Does your Body Balm Melt?

You may have noticed our product melts around 90 degrees. We knew this from the beginning, and we spent a lot of time in the creation process deciding what to do. After a lot of research we decided not to change the recipe, and rather inform our customer.

Here’s why…

The only way to help our product have a higher melting point was to add waxes and stabilizers. There’s some safe options, but we felt they took away from the purity of the product. These waxes and stabilizers don’t nourish our skin in any way. Their sole purpose is to make a product more stable.

As a brand we look for purity and we look for simplicity. So we’ve decided to put in only ingredients that help our skin be the best version of itself, and that means it melts in the summer.

Don’t worry, there’s an easy fix. When you receive your package, immediately, without opening it, put it in the fridge until the next day. It will go back to the way it’s supposed to be. Then smile knowing you are only putting good stuff on your skin.
